Double CACIB Innsbruck alias Summer in Mountains

Tirolean Innsbruck welcomed French bulldogs from five countries with beautiful panoramas of Alps, pleasant weather and traditional problems with parking. Austrian exhibitors were present in full strength but Best of Breed title headed for Switzerland in both days.

Even exhibitors felt soon hot under the partially glassed-in roof of Hall B at newly reconstructed fairground. Higher temperature didn't enhance the Frenchies' willingness to perform well but didn't importantly influence the results. Lisbeth Mach, a strict judge from Switzerland, was the main actor on Saturday. She rated the first Frenchie in class only very good in some cases and didn't hesitate to appeal even to good. Really beautiful Italian female Coco Chanel Realelite (owner Samuele Riddi) succeeded most in her eyes, domestic female Yamaika-Frenchie vom Künigelberg (owner Johanna Fritthum) was awarded Res. CACIB. Both females competed in Open Class. Res. CACIB was awarded also to A'Vigdors Embassador Enzo d'Ovilava, a male of Russian origin, of Mr. and Mrs. Akkad, but CACIB and Best of Breed titles belonged to Swiss brindle male Lauriot de Soleure (owner Sabine Jörg).

Sunday show held at the same place, only in next ring. Domestic French bulldogs did remarkably better under the Austrian judge Heidi Kirschbichler. Male Jelle v. d. Mestreechteneerkes (owner Johanna Fritthum) won the Open Class but was still prevailed by Swiss Lauriot de Soleure (owner Sabine Jörg) in fight for CACIB. Female Yamaika-Frenchie vom Künigelberg (owner Johanna Fritthum) but already ran better than beautiful Italian Coco Chanel Realelite (owner Samuele Riddi) in Open Class and didn't miss the chance to get CACIB as well, gaining victory over another beauty and Intermediate Class winner, Swiss female Nikita de Soleure (owner Sabine Jörg). Qualities of Lauriot de Soleure (owner Sabine Jörg) were hardly ignorable in competition for Best of Breed and so this Swiss brindle male got the title on Sunday again.

The best of Czech representatives was Dagwood od Stříbrňáku (owner Mr. and Mrs. Šlauf), who won the Champion Class on Saturday and placed the 2nd on Sunday. Also fawn female Best Looking Flat Devils (owner Kateřina Pejšová) performed well; she took the 4th place in highly competitive Intermediate Class on Saturday and even the 2nd one on Sunday. Our Daddy's Boy, competing in Open Class, didn't repeat his excellent results from last shows in Austria. He placed the 4th (of 6) on Saturday and was rated excellent without placement (of 8) on Sunday. Neither "our" female Fille Fameuse Anima Canis (owner Alexandra Zapula), latterly so successful in Klagenfurt and Oberwart, didn't importantly succeed in Intermediate Class. However she placed the 3rd on Saturday, the titles remained unachieved this time.

Thanks to Nadine Zapula and Regina Baum for taking snaps of Daddy's Boy in the ring!
